Good morning, Unity families!
We want to remind everyone of our parking lot procedures to ensure a smooth and safe drop-off for all students.

Parents driving onto Unity Avenue must stay in the far-left lane, while school buses remain in the right lane, as Unity Avenue functions as two lanes during drop-off. Parents will turn left into the parking lot, follow the traffic flow, and drop off their students at the designated drop-off spot marked with the rainbow star in the image.

Please remember that drop-off should only take a few seconds. If you need more time, please pull into a parking stall. Parents must stay inside their vehicles unless they are parked in a parking spot. If you want to watch your child walk into the school, please park in a parking spot so you do not stop or block traffic. Please follow all traffic laws at all times while in the drop-off area.

There are no U-turns allowed on Cecelia Street or Unity Avenue. Please do not block traffic at any time.

When exiting the parking lot, please yield and watch for buses. Do not pull out in front of them, as buses need more distance to stop.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our traffic moving!

An overhead satellite map of Unity Elementary School shows the traffic flow for morning drop-off. Red arrows indicate the driving path. Blue cars represent parent vehicles, and yellow buses represent school buses. On Cecelia Street, both parents and buses travel north, but parents stay in the left lane while buses stay in the right lane. Parents turn left into the school driveway and follow the arrows into the parking lot. They loop through the lot and reach the rainbow star, which marks the designated student drop-off zone. After dropping off, parent vehicles continue following the arrows to exit the parking lot. The map emphasizes that drop-off should be quick, and if parents need more time or want to watch their child walk into the school, they must park in a parking spot rather than stopping in the lane. School buses stay in the right lane on Unity Avenue and pull up in a straight line along the building for bus-only drop-off. Black arrows show the direction of bus movement along the curb. The map also highlights that parents must stay in their vehicles unless parked in a parking spot, must follow all traffic laws, must not make U-turns on Cecelia Street or Unity Avenue, must not block traffic, and must yield to buses when exiting the parking lot.

Hello Parents,

We’re excited to welcome many new students to our school! To ensure a safe and smooth start to each day, please keep these morning drop-off guidelines in mind:

Breezeway Drop-Off: If you enter the breezeway, please drop off your child and continue on your way. We kindly ask that parents do not stay in the breezeway.

Visitor Check-In: If you plan to go inside the school to eat breakfast or drop off a Pre-Kindergarten student, please check in at the office for a visitor pass.

Preschool Drop-Off: Preschool drop-off time begins at 8:20 AM.

Arrival Time: Students are considered late after 8:35 AM. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please allow enough time for them to finish before class starts. Also, keep school traffic in mind when planning your morning.

Thank you for helping us keep our school safe, organized, and welcoming for everyone!
