On November 7, you will see an option for the Sioux City School District public measure on your ballots. This measure will not cost you additional money, but it allows us to continue using the current 1 cent sales tax to support our schools through 2050.

This Thursday, 10/26, Unity will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week by having a Building-Wide Dress-Up Day! Students may choose one of the following two dress-up themes: 1. P.J. Day – Regular sleep is vital for learning, or 2. Wear your Favorite Costume – Say “BOO” to Drugs! (No weapons, face masks, or fake blood)
Also, this Thursday, is our annual Trunk-or Treat Event in the Unity parking lot from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. In the case of rain, this event will be moved inside to our cafeteria and/or gym. We are still looking for more volunteers to hand out candy at this event. If you are able to help us out, please contact our office to sign up. This is usually a very popular event so please plan on bringing approximately 500 pieces of candy and arriving at 5:00 pm to set up your vehicle.
Since students are being allowed to wear their costumes to school on Thursday, 10/26, NO COSTUMES will be allowed to be worn to school by students on the actual day of Halloween, Tuesday 10/ 31.
Any Fall/Halloween classroom parties will be determined by the classroom teacher. You will be notified by your child’s classroom teacher if a party is happening in their classroom, when it is, and what you can bring. Not all teachers will be having a party in their room.

There will be no tutoring after school during the week of 10/23 - 10/27 due to parent/teacher conferences, scheduled days off, and our 'trunk or treat' event. Tutoring will resume on Tuesday, 10/31.

Good Morning Unity Community! We are excited to see you this afternoon for our Spring Concert! We recommend you arrive EARLY. We anticipate large crowds and everyone must stop by the main office to scan in their driver’s license and receive a name tag. Expect a long line!

We will have some tables set up with some of our old canvas prints from the past few years. If you see a photo that includes your child, you are welcome to take it home with you. We are, however, excepting cash donations to go towards printing new updated canvas prints to hang in our office and hallways!
